Optimus (Neels Smeekens, Rotterdam) is active as a DJ/producer since halfway the nineties. Besides scratching and rockin’ parties, Optimus produces music and gives scratchworkshops for the HipHopHuis. He’s a DJ for different groups like iET and The Proov and formed Fremdtunes 2010 with DJ Mace. Optimus composed, performed and/or played with Grazzhoppa, Toots Thielemans, Prince Po, El da Sensei, MC Rise, Eric Vloeimans, Baba Sissoko and Aka Moon, VSOP, Mike Redman, Fremdkunst and many others.
