NAME: COCO BRYCE
FILE UNDER: DUBSTEP, SKWEEE, HIPHOP, ELECTRONIC, RAVE, BITCRUSHED BEATS
Coco Bryce (Y. Bego) is a producer/DJ, label-owner and Dadaistic musical omnivore. He’s known for his eclectic Dubstep, Hip Hop beats and Skweee DJ-sets & productions, collabs with and/or remixes for artists like Slugabed, Krampfhaft, Pixelord & Kelpe and releases on Harmönia, Astro:Dynamics, Lowriders & others. He started DJ-ing in 1995 and went from Hardcore, Rave and Drum & Bass to Tekno, Electro, Hip Hop and Breakbeat. After DJ-ing for a couple of years, Coco started producing music.
In 1999 he released his first track on vinyl on the ZMK affiliated OBX/Obnoxious label.
The following years he released about 15 Tekno and breakbeat tunes/records on various labels including Team Wasted, DDB en Neurotrope. As he changed his style of DJ-ing and the music he played, new types of music-production enveloped from his utterly creative mind, influenced by the more melodic, synth-driven strains of the Dubstep sound, Hip Hop beats by producers like Dabrye and Madlib and the Northern European stripped down Funk styles of the Skweee movement. His more recent work is/was released on labels like Lowriders, Harmönia, Mässy, Astro:Dynamics, Fremdtunes and of course on his own imprint Myor.
On March 25th 2013 Coco will release his second LP, Club Tropicana, on Fremdtunes. You can now stream the titletrack!

Tokyo Breath Sauce: “It is really really fresh!!!”
