It’s been a busy year at Fremdtunes HQ so far and, despite the lasting cold, the forecast seems to be: incalescence!
After the Juno-recommended ‘The Machine Regrets’ by Pierce Warnecke, Boomkat-recommended ‘SEE-A-SOUND’ LP and the Satellite-featured ‘Tinderbox’ EP by Big Mister Doom, we’re all ready and set for the next release on February 13: ‘Ti Amo (De La Fonque)‘ by R&R Grooove Xpress. Kid Sundance & R0nes are the two masterminds who form R&R Grooove Xpress and they’re showing their Funky Electro/Disco/Boogie roots on this absolute dancefloorfiller. This is the first official R&R Grooove Xpress song (the vocal version already appeared on the SEE-A-SOUND LP). Currently, Kid Sundance and R0nes are finishing the video for this record and are working hard on new material. Meanwhile, follow them on Facebook, suck on this sweet lollipop and ‘balla‘!
Also, we updated our bandcamp page: you can now stream and/or download: DJ Optimus – Double Helix DNA and the SEE-A-SOUND LP.
For those who live near Tilburg and/or Eindhoven: this Friday designer-duo Graphic Surgery and artist/producer Kelpe (through Skype) will share their knowledge about making music, graphic design, working together at bkkc, Tilburg (starting at 20.00). Afterward, we’re all heading to ‘De Hoogste Tijd’ in Eindhoven, celebrating the release of ‘Ti Amo‘.
And that’s the Fremdcast for today!

Plans are made. Scheduled releases are re-scheduled and re-re-scheduled and now 2011 is coming to an end and, logically, 2012 is coming closer, we think it’s time to update you on our upcoming releasedates.
First of all: 12/24/2011 OptiMace – The future is not what it used to be – part 1 (7″). The first one in the OptiMace remix-series ‘The future is not what it used to be’ with remixes by Big Mister Doom, KRSUR and Illy Symphony. Pre-order now at Rush Hour! Or send an e-mail to email@example.com and we’ll let you know how to get one (we only pressed 150 copies, so be quick). On 12/05/2011 we shall release Fremdkunst‘s ‘Like Zauberhulk’ (free digital), the last in the EP-series ‘Zauberschwein im krankenhaus’. It’s a little bit more ‘Frankenstein‘ than it is ‘Cinderella’ and a whole lot more ‘PE’ than it is ‘Hans Dulfer’, but you’ll still hear a little bit of Cyndi-Lauper-sings-words-by-François-de-La-Rochefoucauld– soul oozing through the crackling, grating and stamping.
The new year starts with a blast, when we release on 01/19/2012 Pierce Warnecke’s ‘The Machine Regrets’. A spectacular glitched up, melodic, beatheavy mini-album by Berlin-based Warnecke with remixes by Baron Retif & Concepcion Perez, Big Mister Doom & Kelpe (12″/digital) and artwork by Mister Adam & Superelectric. Also in January we start our SEE-A-SOUND expo at bkkc, Tilburg, and we will release the associated album on 01/27/2012. Big Mister Doom will soon follow on 02/06/2012 with their debut EP on Fremdtunes (digital). This one includes two outstanding tracks by Leeds-based producers Ian & Joe and remixes by Pierce Warnecke & OptiMace ft iET (digital). Further more: Japanese youngster Emufucka exposes his ‘Planar Rift’ EP to the world on 03/22/2012. Expect experimental, up- and downtempo beats and remixes by DZA & St. Andrew on this digital release.
Than there’s some classic material by Kid Sundance in the making, Coco Bryce is working on groundbreaking beats and ofcourse Soosh (with remixes by Jameszoo and Kelpe) will release his SoFar EP in the near future. And there’s much, much more coming up… But that’s another story…

A lot has been going on at Fremdtunes HQ. First of all, we are about to release the ‘Chocolate Money EP’ 12″ by Kelpe ft remixes by Huess and Coco Bryce on November 22nd. Just recently we released our first album ‘Fremdkunst: b-beats & soundscapes’ (which had a great review in Dutch music-magazine Fret) and November 1st we put out our first vinyl record: ‘Fremdtunes – the series 1’: a 12″ labelsampler with music by DJ Optimus, Coco Bryce ft Gumshoe (The Proov) and Incks (Real Phresh), Kid Sundance and Solo Moderna. Nice to mention: the debut LP ‘Boesoek’ by Coco Bryce (releasedate February 14th 2011) is being mastered by Mokosound and so is ‘Fremdkunst: Zauberschwein by candlelight’. ‘Zauberschwein’ is a digital EP which will be released as – because we are so very generous people – free download on our bandcamp page. Mister Adam must be the most busy man on this planet because he’s doing all covers and designs for these releases, plus he’s working hard on a new expo with his superb project Mashville.
