It’s been a tragic week for music: almost a week ago, the young and very talented pianist & composer Austin Peralta died at the age of 22. Peralta released his last album Endless Planets on LA-based label Brainfeeder and worked with on Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu and The Cinematic Orchestra, amongst others. Brainfeeder created a tribute-page on their website: definitely worth checking…Julian Edwardes made, as he calls it, a ‘a humble attempt to honor him’ with the beautiful track ‘For what its worth‘.

At the respectable age of 89, Simeon ten Holt, another sublime composer departed this life. Grateful for the fact he left us with his famous ‘Canto Ostinato‘ (and so much more other great ‘minimalist’ music) we urge you to search through his musical legacy (if you didn’t already)…it’s astounding.
