Today I bought Booker T. & The M.G.’s Melting Pot on vinyl (a record I should have bought years ago but somehow never did). A great record with some bluesy and funky tracks on it – and it’s good material for the b-boys too. I purchased this record at De Langspeelplaat (The LP), the only vinyl-specialist in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. It’s a remarkable store with many well-prized and some hard-to-find records (mostly vinyl and some CD’s) and a marvellous store-owner. You can recognize him by his lack of teeth and his continuous enthusiasm…always willing to offer you some coffee and share some new discoveries with you.
