THE PARTY IS OVER: NO MORE ENTRIES!
Read carefully, we shall only say this once!
We don’t like to talk about music in terms of ‘good’ and ‘bad’. We don’t think one song is better than the other. We don’t think most votes carry the day. Neither do we think the most is the least. Or vice versa. Music isn’t competition. But we do like to jump on every year’s bandwagon of making lists. Because it’s fun. And gives us a splendid reason to give away free music.
What we want you to do is this.
A record with the title Emmanuelle was once the source for a small series of Fremdkunst-tracks, all named ‘Still Böse’.
So, in honor of Madame Kristel, here you can download two of these tracks for free!

Today we proudly present Fremdblend – volume four! With tracks and appearances by artists like Ben Butler & Mousepad, Big Mister Doom, Coco Bryce, DJ Optimus, Emufucka, Fremdkunst, iET, Julian Edwardes, Kelpe, Kid Sundance, Pierce Warnecke, Planes, Quarta330, Saccage, Soosh and many others. Expect to hear downtempo hiphop, skweee, triphop, jazz, boogie and all types of musica electronique…Thus; friends, Romans, countrymen, lend us your ears for over 40 minutes of fremdness.
Last Sunday we celebrated our second anniversary at Bird, Rotterdam. Since we had such a good time (thank you all for celebrating with us!) we decided to share a free Fremdkunst track with you. The song is called ‘Golden Years’ (featured on the last Coco Bryce and Lee Spacey mix) and was produced by DJ Mace featuring Shycop on trumpet. ‘Golden Years’ preludes the forthcoming Fremdkunst-record ‘Melancholia’.
Today we release the definitive ‘Zauberschwein im krankenhaus‘ album by Fremdkunst! Previously released as seperate EP’s, it’s now re-mastered and all loose ends are tied up. With tracks by DJ Mace, Optimus & Vindictiv and guest-appearances by Erwin Vann, Mete Erker, Nicolas Kummert, Rene Everts, Shycop and Freq.
Of course, if you’d like to you can still (as far as bandcamp allows us to give away free downloads) download the original EP’s right here:
PLUS: to celebrate this release, we’ve uploaded a free Fremdkunst bonus-remix-track called ‘The Fable of the Bees‘!
Last week hail rained down. There was sunburst. And there was thunder & storm. But we have the same old Weather Fremdcast for you: never too cool, always sweltering & just jabbering untill the break of dawn.
Since we’re behind on are Fremdcast updates, we quickly run down some interesting links for you: Weather Fremdcast Guestmix number 7 is online: this one’s by R&R Grooove Xpress with nothing but Classic Funk and Boogie: listen here! There’s a new, awesome Homebrew album out! Download a new Fremdkunst work-in-progress-tune (Debussy meets Fremdkunst meets Erwin Vann meets Korg). Discover fresh and not-so-fresh-but-still-fresh music on the Fremdtunes May 2012 charts on Juno & Beatport. Last but not least, don’t forget to return to this website on Thursday: Julian Edwardes (who earlier did this track for the SEE-A-SOUND compilation) will release his 4-track EP ‘A Fine Mess’ via Fremdtunes.
To sign off, here are some Beastie Boys (related) tracks & video’s to pay tribute to Adam Yauch/MCA (may he rest in peace): all-time favorite Beastie’s song, you gotta love ‘m for their video’s fitting the songs so perfectly, old school footage of a Beastie-performance on the Joan Rivers show in 1987 and; it sounds like this is a track by the Beastie Boys, but it really isn’t.
So: stay ‘where the wild things are’. Stay Fremd. Stay tuned!
Exactly one year ago we released the free ‘Zauberschwein by candlelight’ EP by Fremdkunst. This was the first in a series called ‘Zauberschwein im krankenhaus’. After the release of part 2 ‘O sweet schwein of mine‘ in June, it’s time to bring the series to a closure with ‘Like Zauberhulk‘. ‘Like Zauberhulk’ is a 6-track EP and one more time DJ Mace and friends explore the outer-limits of the nihilistic Fremdkunst-universe.
