We also like to take this time out to send out an überbig ‘thank you’ to you and yours; for your massive support, your time and patience, your declarations of love. It was one hell of ride again and we sure hope to treat you to much more tunes, art and other Fremdness in 2014. Have an explosive ‘jaarwisseling’ and we’ll meet again next year!
While 2013 is drawing to a close, we’re looking back at this year’s releases. One we should definitely mention is ‘Disconnected Repeater‘ by Big Mister Doom. More mellow than their previous work and a production style that’s as detailed as always (or even more), the duo’s second EP for Fremdtunes is an ingenious mixture of downtempo leftfield hiphop and deeply textured electronic music. Julian Edwardes‘ bright and sparkling piece of art filled with quirky beats, exotic sounds, glitches, bumps, bass and punchy drums. Featuring remixes by Big Mister Doom and Ben Butler & Mousepad Released on February 25 and resulting in another Julian Edwardes release, namely ‘The Grinder’ (ft an E.R.P. remix) together with Shipwrec. Rewind, have fun (again)!
